Our autumn and Christmas season is here, and we can’t wait to welcome you back through our doors! There’s live music, festival fun and festive favourites lined up at Glusburn Institute Community and Arts Centre — with something for everyone between now and the big day.
We’re kicking things off with Early Doors Revival: Back to the 80s Day Party on Saturday 5 September (4:00–8:00pm) — last chance to book, as this one’s happening soon! Then on Saturday 19 September, we’re delighted to welcome back Maet LIVE & the Never Neverland Express — a Meat Loaf tribute act and firm favourite who always draws a crowd, so tickets are going fast with only a few remaining.
October is shaping up to be a real treat. Our Beer and Gin Festival returns from Friday 2 to Saturday 3 October, with a fantastic range of cask beers and craft gins to enjoy. Later in the month, we’re proud to host our own local favourites The Swing City Big Band on Saturday 24 October, before things get a little livelier with The Madchester Experience on Saturday 31 October — a full-throttle tribute to the baggy beats and Brit anthems of the Madchester era.
Fancy a big night out? Resurrection: Indie Disco & Rave (over 18s only) hits the stage on Saturday 14 November, mixing Britpop, Madchester and rave anthems for a great night with friends.
As December rolls in, so does the Christmas spirit! Our Glusburn Christmas Fair and Maker’s Market takes over on Sunday 29 November (10:00am–4:00pm), with our halls packed full of local makers’ stalls, plus a jigsaw sale, raffle, tombola and our café serving up warming treats — a lovely free family morning out. The first weekend of December brings two wonderful concerts: the Airedale Symphony Orchestra’s Candlelit Christmas Concert on Saturday 5 December, and Rat Pack: A Swingin’ Christmas at the Sands on Sunday 6 December. We round off the season on Friday 18 December with our Christmas Family Film ‘Elf’ with Santa’s Grotto — a lovely chance for children to visit Santa before settling in for the festive family favourite.
Tickets are on sale now for all events, and some — like the Beer and Gin Festival — are always popular, so early booking is recommended.
