Join Sutton’s Got Brass at Glusburn Institute, a friendly community brass band founded in 2014 through a National Lottery grant, welcoming players of all ages and abilities to learn together.
Sutton’s Got Brass was created to bring people together through music and make brass playing accessible to all. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after a break, you’ll find a friendly, supportive environment where you can learn, improve and enjoy making music as part of a group.
The band meets weekly, offering regular rehearsals, shared learning, and the chance to perform as part of a lively community ensemble.
Our Musical Director is cornet-player Matthew Loud. The band was originally inspired by Fiona Beetles, then headteacher of Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School, whose vision helped bring the project to life.

All ages and abilities welcome — just come along.
