Enjoy friendly short mat indoor bowls at Glusburn Community & Arts Centre – a relaxed, sociable activity open to all, whatever your experience level. No previous bowling experience is needed, and new members are always warmly welcomed.

Short mat bowls is a gentle, low-impact sport that helps improve coordination, balance, concentration and light physical activity, making it ideal for staying active in a safe and enjoyable way. It’s also a great way to meet new people and be part of a friendly community.

All equipment can be provided if required, so you can simply turn up and play. Sessions are informal and welcoming, with time to enjoy a chat and a cuppa as well.

Each session is just £3.20 on a pay-to-play basis, with no subscription or commitment. This includes light refreshments.

Weekly, from October to March:

  • Tuesdays from 1:30–3:30pm
  • Tuesdays from 6:45–9:30pm
