What We Do
We are an arts venue at the heart of the local area, bringing people together through live performance, creativity, and shared experiences. Our proscenium arch theatre hosts a vibrant programme of music, theatre, comedy, and community events, alongside regular classes and activities running most days.
We also have spaces available to hire for rehearsals, meetings, celebrations, and events. Our aim is simple: to offer a friendly, inclusive arts venue with something for everyone. We’re proud to be a place to connect, create, and celebrate together.

Glusburn Community & Arts Centre is so much more than a venue for activities, events and entertainment. We’re a space to nurture local people, offer support and information and opportunities to develop friendships and companionship.
As the Community Anchor Organisation for South Craven, our Community Hub plays a crucial role in connecting other local VCSE organisations across our region, working alongside North Yorkshire Council.
A source of local knowledge, we can share information about and signposting to groups and services. If you are part of a small community group in South Craven, we’d love to hear about it and help to share what you do.

Sing Out! South Craven Community Choir Concert is a much-loved evening in our calendar - bringing together singers from across the community for a warm, uplifting celebration of music, friendship, and connection.
This year’s programme features a vibrant mix of popular songs on the theme of Friends and Family, performed by the full choir in rich harmony, alongside more intimate performances from soloists and small ensembles.
It’s a chance to hear the incredible talent that’s grown right here in our own building.

Accessibility continues to guide our ongoing improvements.
Along with the work we have previously announced to enhance physical access access and be more inclusive, we’ve also been working with Contacta who are a leader in assistive technology solutions, to design a suitable hearing loop system for our Auditorium. The system will be installed very soon and will significantly improve the experience for people who come to shows and events and use hearing aids.
These updates are part of our wider commitment to making our building as inclusive, welcoming and accessible as possible for everyone who visits.

Inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of everything we do.
Just over five years ago, we took an important first step in this mission by installing a passenger lift serving all floors and new toilets on the first floor. This week, we’re building on that commitment by commencing further improvements to ensure our building is welcoming and accessible to everyone.
Included in the programme of works taking place, the ground floor entrance is being upgraded with automatic door systems to support easier access in and out of the building, and the ground floor toilets are being made gender neutral.
These changes are about removing barriers, respecting different needs, and creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, supported, and included.
We’re always learning, so if you have suggestions, experiences to share, or would like to be involved in shaping a more inclusive space, we’d really love to hear from you.
