What We Do
What is Our Access Scheme?
We want every visitor to feel welcome and to be able to enjoy our venue and events.
Our goal is to ensure your experience is comfortable, enjoyable, and free from barriers. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments for anyone with a disability or long-term health condition.
We understand that some disabilities can make attending events alone difficult or impossible. Our Access Scheme is free to join and designed for anyone with access needs, including those who need a companion, personal assistant, or carer with them.
What it offers:
- Book with confidence online — reserve wheelchair spaces, aisle seats, or any seating that suits you, anywhere in the auditorium. Wheelchair-accessible spaces are allocated at every performance.
- Tell us once — share your access requirements with us, and we’ll have everything ready for every future visit.
- Free companion tickets — if you need a personal assistant or carer with you due to a disability or long-term health condition (as defined by the Equality Act 2010), their ticket is free. Companions must be 16 or over, and by accepting a free ticket they agree to support you throughout your visit, including in an emergency.
Joining is quick and easy! Just share a few details about your access needs and we’ll do the rest. You can sign up in person, over the phone, or online. Our team is here to help you.
Proof of eligibility: We accept CEA Cards, Access Cards, or other proof of disability.
Once your account is updated, you can book Access Scheme tickets online at any time, although we recommend calling or emailing our Box Office team when booking, so we can help you choose the best space for your needs.
• Be aged 16 or over. (Children under 16 are always required to be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult in our venue and are therefore not eligible).
• Have a disability or long-term health condition which means you need additional support and need to be accompanied. This must be due to disability-related needs, significant and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family or friends already accompanying you.
You can apply by:
1. Completing the access scheme application form or contacting us
2. Providing evidence of one of these cards:
a. Nimbus Disability Access Card/CredAbility Card with the +1 symbol
b. CEA Card
3. Providing evidence of benefits or registration:
a. Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
b. Attendance Allowance (AA)
c. Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
d. Adult / Child Disability Payment (ADP / CDP – Scotland)
e. Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
f. Registration as Severely Sight Impaired (Blind) or Sight Impaired (Partially Sighted)
4. If you don’t have the above evidence – contact us to explain your situation and we’ll let you know what additional information we may need.
