SUMMARY:Little Learners Messy Play Class
DESCRIPTION:Join Little Learners in Glusburn\, a multi award-winning children’s activity provider offering educational messy play classes for babies to preschoolers\, built around the innovative mark making programme The Mark Makers. \nLittle Learners was created and founded by a qualified primary teacher\, who designed the programme around the journey of four fun characters — the Mark Makers. Children focus on a different character each week\, exploring messy play\, painting\, play dough\, scribbling\, dance and more\, all designed to encourage mark making and early writing skills through play. \nYour child will be encouraged to use hands\, fingers\, feet and toes to make marks\, helping to strengthen core muscles and develop gross and fine motor skills — vital foundations for holding and controlling a pencil\, and for letter and number formation when they reach school age. \nOur aim is to make writing fun\, and to encourage every child to make their mark! \nLittle Learners also offers classes\, parties and events\, and undertakes work in schools and early years settings\, suitable for children aged 5 months to 5 years and following EYFS guidance. \nFind out more at www.littlelearnersuk.com or on Facebook @LLAireValley. \nWeekly\, Fridays from 10:15am.
SUMMARY:Toddle Up and Sign Makaton Class
DESCRIPTION:Join Toddle Up and Sign at Glusburn Institute\, award-winning baby-sign and Makaton classes for babies\, toddlers and pre-schoolers from 6 months\, using songs\, stories and sensory play to teach signing. \nClasses are aimed at parents and caregivers\, and are designed to be as fun and stimulating as possible for little ones — using stories\, songs and props to teach a range of useful signs each week. \nMakaton is an excellent communication tool to complement speech development in babies and toddlers. Signing can ease frustration for children\, allowing them to express their needs before full speech has developed — and learning sign language together is also a lovely bonding exercise between caregivers and little ones. \nClasses are led by the class founder\, who was awarded Most Loved Activity Leader in the North of England in the 2020 National “What’s On 4 Kids” Awards. \nMonthly\, Saturdays at 10am. Dates may vary\, please visit the Toddle Up and Sign website or Facebook page for latest details. \n£6 per family.
